Today, Boulder on a crisp autumn day.

 

Tomorrow (or will it be Monday?!), Melbourne!

 

...followed by the Dandenong Mountains, the Great Ocean Road,  Cairns, Cape Tribulation, Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest, Port Douglas, total eclipse of the sun!, and Sydney.

...then back in Boulder in time for Thanksgiving.  Weehaww!

Broadway!

This past spring, Kendall and I had the good fortune to hear about a behind-the-scenes Broadway Tour that the head of Boulder's Dinner Theatre would be leading this fall.  We quickly signed up figuring it would be fabulous way to celebrate both Kendall's retirement and our 37th wedding anniversary.  And indeed it was!

Thirty-four hearty individuals of all ages and shapes set off for Broadway from Boulder and spent a whirlwind 5 days and 4 nights experiencing the sights and sounds of New York City.  A note to those of you who have wondered about touring with a group.  We had our concerns about the number of activities and shows packed into a few days, as well as the dynamics of touring with so many people.  It was great!  We would never have planned four shows and daily sight-seeing tours on our own, figuring it would be too much.  Not so!  Seeing a show a night was fabulous (Peter and the Star Catchers, Chaplin, Nice Work If You Can Get It, and Once - each stellar in their own way), and the daily tours had plenty of on-our-own time built in around them for chillin' or cruising or whatever we felt like doing.  And knowing almost 3 dozen people meant that we were often running into people we knew - right in the heart of The City!  The tour definitely let us stretch our wings soar through a delightfully unique NYC experience!
