Hills. Gotta love hills. Well I do in any case. And hill repeats are a workout I have relied on for years for both the strength and speed benefits they provide. So! Today, as part of my desire to regain fitness, I ran to Boomerang - a fine specimen of a hill.
The workout plan was for 2 minutes up then back to the bottom then 90' up/60' down - either 8 repeats or to the top, whichever came first. It turns out 7 repeats got me to the top! Good thing. I was heating right up - plus getting a tad nervous because of all the bear scat I was seeing on the way up!
Even though I left the house shortly after giving Taz his 6 a.m. medicine and breakfast, the sun and heat were rising right up by the time I got to Boomerang.

And one must check out the view of the hills (muted today due to smoke from western slope fires) and our red-roofed CU campus before heading back down to the bottom.
I must say, it's quite a feeling of accomplishment upon completing (surviving!) one of these workouts.
Hills rule!
