Great Plains Great Lakes Travelogue

We have made it across the plains from Boulder to Petoskey once again! Somehow we always manage to keep ourselves entertained when we make this trip. Eschewing interstates and opting for quieter roads and small towns does seem to help ease the 3 day voyage.

Some sights along the road:

Taz joins the Glenn Miller Band in Fort Morgan CO

We found the Swedish capital of Nebraska! Really!

As always, I need to fit a run in here and there...

Have shoes, will run

Avenue of trees, Brewer Park, Webster City IA

Paw prints lead the way

Gotta get moving! The vultures are circling!
Taz is thrilled I made it!

The state line! A welcome sight!

Evening of Day 2 and Taz is still smiling!

Our goal was to make it in time for the sunset on Day 3 - and that we did!

Our first full day back in Petoskey was delightful: a Taz run, then a solo river run to a Farmer's Market followed by a visit to the County Fair. To cap it all, a spectacular sunrise!

Taz does love his lake side outings!

A couple of critters surprised me along my Bear River run

Fabulous farm market sign!

What a county fair without pigs?!
